Career Overview
Alex spent almost 8 years working for one of the UK’s leading book wholesalers, heading up the quotes department. This required him to receive order requests from other wholesalers and retailers from all over the world, often dealing with order values in the £1M+ range. This role primed Alex for working with complex data sets and the skills he acquired there ultimately became the foundations that underpin his work at Facets.
Career Highlights
As Facets grew, it quickly became clear that we required additional team members, and today the Sales Ops team is four people strong and growing. This means that Alex’s role has developed into that of a people manager, which has allowed him to build a hardworking, tenacious, and dedicated team around him that has supercharged our efficiency and accelerated growth within Facets. Working alongside them is something Alex looks forward to every day.
Things at Facets move quickly and the need for developing new systems and processes to keep up with that pace is a priority. When a new arm is added to the sales process, it’s up to Alex to design a process, build it out, test it and then oversee its continued use and development. Innovating like this is one of Alex’s favourite parts of the job.
