Who inspired Sam ?

J.K Rowling is my inspiration. She is tenacious, focused and patient.

Her first novel was rejected by 12 different publishing houses before it was accepted by Bloomsbury. She persevered at one of the hardest times of her life and that resilience in the face of her downfalls has led her to where she is today.

Career Overview

A few days after graduating university aged 21, Sam ‘fell into’ a job as a trainee recruitment consultant for a global IT recruitment company. Working in a very target-driven environment doing both candidate acquisition/attraction and cold business development, Sam climbed the ladder pretty quickly and worked her way through 4 promotions in 5 years.

Today she heads up the Talent division of Facets and oversees all things recruitment for our partners.

Career Highlights

Sam was one of the youngest people to land a management position within the business (aged 24). Around a year later, she was running a team of 11 recruitment consultants, from trainee recruiters to principal recruiters.

Now, she is running a whole talent division for our partners.

Another highlight is building teams of people. Sam loves it when she’s working with a business and they need multiple hires and she can help to successfully source, hunt, place and retain them. Sam has placed hundreds of candidates throughout her career in recruitment, many of whom come back to her when they are looking for their next venture!
